Speaking this morning, Club Secretary Martin Watson has given an update on the progress of the search to find Hereford FC’s first ever manager.
“We have had several good applications from managers who have worked at a higher level than we will be at next season.
“The final choice is already going to be a difficult one and I understand there are a number of additional names who will be submitting their details shortly.
“This will be the most important decision the club has to make and therefore the manager who gets the job will have to demonstrate not only his ability, but also a huge desire to succeed at Edgar Street.
“I have already had several long discussions with Gareth Davies about the applicants and we’ve agreed to speak later in the week – after the deadline – when the full list of serious candidates is known. At that point we will begin to assemble a shortlist of candidates to interview.
“Once we have compiled a shortlist and organised interviews, a decision on who will become Hereford FC’s first manager will then be made with the input of the full Board of Directors.”
Anyone interested in applying for this role is reminded that they are invited to submit a CV and covering letter supporting their application by e-mail to the Club Secretary at [email protected], or by post to Martin Watson, Club Secretary, Hereford FC, c/o Unit 4, 7 Canal Road, Hereford, HR1 2EA.
Closing date for applications is 5pm on Thursday 5th March.
