The Hereford boss Peter Beadle hailed the Bulls superb win over National League side Eastleigh as a “fantastic performance”.
His side despatched a club two leagues above Hereford with both a fluid and yet resolute display which highlighted the tremendous team spirit within the Bulls squad.
Mike McGrath opened the scoring with a direct free-kick which deflected off the wall, before Garyn Preen showed tremendous composure to slide home the second just before half-time.
Eastleigh threw everything at the Bulls after the break and although Callum Howe scored for the Spitfires from a corner, Hereford held on resolutely to win through to the First Round.
