Chris Phillips reports.
A brace from Adam Page was enough to see Hereford beat visitors Quorn 2-0 to record their 12th league win of the campaign.
The Bulls were looking to continue their impressive run of form following a thumping 6-0 win against Continental Star midweek.
It was the visitors that started the game the better side as they pressed Hereford in to early mistakes and kept possession well.
However the Bulls finally got in to their stride and Jamie Willets had the first opportunity at goal with his header comfortably saved by Quorn keeper, Ryan Thacker.
A decent effort by John Mills soon after saw his shot run narrowly wide of the visitor’s goal after some good build up play with Pablo Haysham.
Quorn continued to show their resilience and frustrated the hosts in midfield with a possible penalty shout also rejected by referee, Jonathan Price.
The Bulls were made to hard work in possession as they looked for any opportunity to breach the defence of Quorn shirts.
It was on the 33rd minute where Hereford created arguably the best chance so far. A fantastic one-two with Mills put Haysham through on goal only to see his well struck shot denied brilliantly by Thacker.
Mills then fired wired just minutes later as the Bulls pressed for a goal.
However it didn’t take long in the second half for the Bulls to break the deadlock. Adam Page finishing well beyond Thacker after being played in by Aaron Birch to give Hereford a well-deserved lead
It was very nearly two just a minute after. Mills broke well down the right flank but his shot was saved well by Thacker as the hosts looked much more improved from the first half.
Quorn, despite the setback, looked dangerous on the break and caused one or two nervous moments for the Bulls as they searched for a leveller.
The game was very much two and fro with both sides exchanging possession. However Hereford still looked good for a second goal. Haysham fired wide before Mills brilliant chipped over Thacker only to see it sail narrowly over the bar.
Page had another chance to double the Bulls advantage before Joel Edwards’ brilliant cross just slipped beyond Mills’s grasp as the hosts looked to kill the game off.
The visitors pressed towards the final stages with Hereford having to defend resiliently.
The Bulls however finally made it two in the final minutes to kill the game off. Pablo Haysham broke well down the right and his cross was met by Page who got his second of the game.
The hosts closed out the win and what is another huge points for their promotion campaign.
