BREAKING NEWS | White Signs For The Bulls

18th June 2018 by Jamie Griffiths - Club News

Hereford FC is pleased to announce the signing of striker Harry White. The former Barnsley player joins The Bulls after spending last season with National League side, Chester FC.

Bulls boss Pete Beadle said he was delighted with the signing “Harry is a great prospect who thrives on confidence, he’s a great age, his gameplay is good and he know’s how to score goals.”

Despite his young age, Harry brings with him plenty of National League experience, making over 100 appearances in the National League structure.

The 24-year-old started out as a member of the Coventry City Academy and had spells with a number of non-league clubs, as well as spending a year playing College Soccer in the USA, before settling into the Gloucester City first team in 2014.

The Birmingham-born forward went on to make over 30 appearances for The Tigers before being snapped up by the then League 1 side, Barnsley in 2015 for an undisclosed fee.

“He got taken on by Barnsley when they were in League 1, but his spell didn’t work out as well as he would have wanted” admitted Beadle. “He thrives on confidence, as all strikers do, and he needs to have an arm around him. His all-round game is very good, and he’s got a great attitude. He’s another player who comes to us with a lot of raw talent, a bit of a rough diamond, and it’s up to us to help him grow into the player we know he can be.”

His spell at Oakwell, where he was a member of the development squad, saw his first-team game-time limited and he was sent out on loan to Kidderminster Harriers and Boreham Wood, before making a permanent switch to Solihull Moors at the start of the 2016/17 season for a nominal fee.

Harry finished the 2016/17 season Solihull Moors’ top goalscorer, a record that saw him snapped by long-time admirers, Chester FC for the 2017/18 season.

“Despite being young he know’s this level of football, he’s had decent spells with Solihull Moors and Chester and he has proved he can score goals at this level. He had a decent spell in a difficult season for Chester last season, and we’re looking for him to really push on now he’s with us.”
