Our young members did us proud on Monday by forming our Guard of Honour and taking part in half time penalties. Having 35 of our young members getting involved on matchdays is great but it’s not only on the pitch that they’re excelling, some of our older members are supporting the adult helpers with jobs around the ground too.
Jobs that they are undertaking include; helping in the gazebo, selling programmes, assisting with organising Guard of Honour, being ballgirl/boy/goalies at half time, delivering team sheets to media teams and hospitality, manning the Shoot for Goal inflatable pre-match. We’ll be introducing them all to you soon.
A big thank you to Kev Evans and Richard Williams who answered my plea for help in setting up the gazebo on Monday morning – thanks for your help guys it was very much appreciated. If anyone is free to help us this Saturday at 11.15 am please drop me an email [email protected] It only takes about 20 mins so if you’re close by and can drop in that would be great!
The face painting was as popular as ever with a mix of animal faces and football flags etc being requested. Thanks to Ali Griffiths who came along to help us out. Ali will be there again this Saturday so if you’d like your face painted come along from 1 pm. Please note last face to be painted will be at 2.30 pm. Any donations made will go towards providing for the kids.
Our very popular Player Photo Draw was won by Zoe who went down at full time to meet John Mills and get her photograph signed. It was Zoe’s lucky day as she also managed to get her programme signed by her favourite player Rob Purdie. Well done Zoe!
