Hereford FC have today strengthened the squad ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Edgeley Park, where The Bulls face Stockport County in Vanarama National League North action.
We’re delighted to confirm that goalkeeper Matt Yates and defender Ethan Wassall have both arrived on loan from Championship side, Derby County. Both players have joined on initial one-month loan deals.
Yates, formerly on loan at Gloucester City this season, is the son of former Derby County defender Dean Yates. The 19-year-old ‘keeper joined The Rams Academy at the age of nine, and has progressed through to the U23 squad. Matt has been a regular starter for the County Academy sides up until his loan spell with The Tigers at the start of this season.
Wassall, a 20-year-old central defender previously captained the Derby County U18s before progressing into the U23 squad.
Ethan is the son of former Hereford United loanee Darren Wassell who made six appearances for The Bulls in 1987.
