NEWS | Purdie Announces Midfielders for Testimonial Game

Rob Purdie has announced his provisional list of midfielders taking part in his Hereford United vs Hereford FC Testimonial taking place at Edgar Street on 12th May 2019.

The players representing Hereford United have racked up over 1,100 appearances between them, whilst the Hereford FC squad sees a number of fans-favourite return.

Tickets are selling well, with prices £8 adults, £6 concessions £3 U16.

HEREFORD UNITED

Jamie Pitman

Made over 180 appearances for The Bulls during two-spells. Also spent time as physio and manager.

Rob Purdie

Needs no introduction. Started out his Edgar Street career as a fresh-faced 18 year old, going on to amass over 300 appearances for Hereford United.

Danny Williams

Made over 100 appearances for The Bulls between 2002-2005 before returning for a brief second-spell in 2011.

Paul Parry

Started out as a YTS player for Hereford United before becoming a firm fans-favourite for the first team.

Made over 150 appearances for The Bulls before a big-money move to Cardiff City. Shortly after moving to the Welsh capital, Parry was selected for Wales whom he represented on 12 occasions.

Ben Smith

A highly regarded midfielder who made over 150 appearances during two spells with The Bulls. Was an instrumental part of the 2007-08 League 2 promotion winning side.

Andy Ferrell

A combative midfielder who was a key part of the 2006 Play-Off winning side. Made over 50 appearances for The Bulls and quickly became a fans-favourite for his never-say-die attitude.

Gavin Williams

Gavin is another player who came from the Hereford United YTS, going on to enjoy an impressive career. Made over 170 appearances for The Bulls over five-seasons, scored numerous goals including a great strike against Swindon Town in the FA Cup 2nd Round. A real fans-favourite who knows how to excite the Edgar Street crowd.

Moved to Yeovil before signing for West Ham United, his move earning The Bulls substantial pay-out due to a sell-on clause.
