Hereford FC are delighted to announce the signing of young midfielder Callum Sainty.
22-year-old Callum has spent the last two-and-a-half seasons with Welsh Premier League side Barry Town, making over 30 first team appearances last term.
Speaking to the official Hereford FC website, Bulls boss Pete Beadle said Sainty is an ‘exciting prospect’. “He’s probably an unknown name to many, but Steve Jenkins and myself have been keeping an eye on him throughout last season, and we’re delighted to be able to bring him in.
“He’s a great age and a very good prospect, if he can fulfil perhaps 75% of his potential then he will be a very good player. He’s a raw talent, but it’s exciting to get him in, and if he can continue to develop as he has over the past couple of years then we will have a decent player on our hands.
“He’s quite tall, very athletic and also versatile, he can play in midfield and also fill in at the back. He’s willing to learn and is looking forward to the challenge, myself and Jenks are really looking forward to working with him.
“He sees this as a step up and wants to make the most of the opportunity. He’s got a good attitude, he’s excited about coming here and really wants to do well.”
