A strong start to the 2015/16 season making regular appearances in Derby’s then Under-21s’ defence at just 17 saw Ethan Wassall earn his first professional contract with parent club Derby County in October 2015.
Now 20, Wassall joined the Bulls on loan alongside Derby teammate Matt Yates.
A towering defender, having been converted from a winger, Wassall also captained Derby’s Under-18s squad throughout his time in that setup.
Ethan is the son of former Hereford United player now Derby County Academy Director Darren Wassall, who made five appearances for the Bulls.
Interestingly, just like his father in the 1987/88 season, Ethan also made his debut for Hereford away at Stockport County’s Edgeley Park.
